NOTE: Effective 07/01/04 on all construction projects there will be a non-refundable fee charged for plans and specifications in the amount of $26 for projects estimated to cost up to $100,000 and $52 for projects estimated to cost beyond that amount. Cash, or business, cashier's, or personal check, or credit cards will be accepted as payment (currently only Visa and MasterCard are accepted). A copy of the solicitations posted will be available for review at City Hall. Please contact the Purchasing Division for details.

1.IFB127707 University Ave and Alma St Landscape Improvements The work to be performed, in general, consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, material, and transportation required to perform the University Avenue and Alma Street landscape improvements project. (See attachment for more information) NOTE: A pre-bid conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2008. The Conference shall begin promptly at 9:00 a.m., and shall be held at the job location – intersection of University Avenue and Alma Street, meet outside of the City’s Parking Structure, 528 High Street, Palo Alto (Alma Street side). IFB 127589-2008-09 Sidewalk Replacement Project The work to be performed, in general, consists of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and transportation, required to complete the Sidewalk Replacement Project for 2008-2009. IFB 127639-Water & Wastewater Operations Services 3 Mandatory September 8, 2008 at 3:00pm 1007 Elwell Court, Palo Alto Conference room 1 The work consists, in general, to provide emergency or critical removal and replacement of water and sanitary sewer mains, materials, and other related components on as as needed basis, for one year with the potential of two additional one-year terms, including all incidental and related work as required by PART III, Scope of Work, herein. RFP 128288 - Provision of Business Plan for Palo Alto Airport, including Financial Impact Study The City of Palo Alto is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide professional services for The City of Palo Alto to prepare a Business Plan, including a Financial Impact Study for the Palo Alto Airport. The County of Santa Clara has proposed to terminate the lease early prior to its expiration in 2017, citing the inability to generate enough revenue to match expenses as a rationale for seeking early termination of the lease. The Palo Alto City Council has directed staff to begin negotiations with the County to take back the airport by 2010. The City desires an analysis of all the significant risks and obligations, as well as the benefits associated with running the Palo Alto Airport prior to entering into any formal contract negotiations to terminate the lease with the County. RFP 128814 - Standards of Coverage Assessment The City of Palo Alto is seeking to retain a consultant to provide “Standards of Coverage” Assessment on the Potential Impacts to Emergency Fire Services for the Stanford Hospital and Stanford Shopping Center Expansion Project. The primary goals of this assessment are to determine the potential impact of the project on fire emergency medical response capabilities, fire calls for service, fire life safety and hazardous materials inspections, emergency response times, fire department training, automatic aid agreements with the Menlo Park Fire Protection District, and on back-up response from other Palo Alto Fire Department response units and appropriate staffing levels at the first and second-due fire stations.
